Subject: Bidding Adieu!

Time flies, moments remain!

Life at Infosys was a wonderful beginning of my career, and never did I think of this day when I would be bidding goodbye to my extended family.

Being my first company I connected here emotionally – I know it was an idiotic thing to do, but trust me I loved being that idiot – it was what made me ‘ME’. πŸ™‚

There are some things in life that you can never express or explain it to anyone, it can just be experienced, and this is one of them.

After 4 years 5 months and 27 days, here I am writing my final mail.

It is said “People may forget your name, but they will never forget how you made them feel” – It’s the other way round as well πŸ˜€

I have had a chance to work with and make friends with some of the most dedicated, passionate and razor-sharp minds – stuff that sometimes makes these past four years seem surreal.
Hence, I really cannot leave without mentioning the wonderful people I met during my journey of Infosys, a maximum of whom are not even a part of Infy anymore.
Still, I would like to express my gratitude to all for your immense support, motivation, and love, and try to do justice to all my experiences here.

Starting with Infy training – categorizing into groups πŸ˜›

My Generic friends
– Jyoti, Nikhil, Abhay, Shruti, Prachi, Sunil, Snehlata, Dev, Anil, Sneha, Gaurav, Vasu, Sandeep, and Neetu, and

My Stream friends – Shipra, Pragya, Divya, Biswadeep – without whom training would have been hell.

MyECC neighbors/girls gangBhakti, Sayli, Sumedha, Ankita M, Ankita T, Ruchi, Tanu, Nikita, and Maneela – cheers to our night adventures,

My foodie friends – Soumyaranjan, Neel, Siddharth, Cadet, Debasis – because of whom I tasted recipes from all food courts in Mysore and explored to diverse places,

My bunk buddies – Shalmali, Milan, Revati and Tunir.

My Bestie Nikhil – My friend (more precisely my brother) – with whom I have the maximum experiences in all DC’s. Thanks for never leaving my side during my bad mood swings and trying to understand me when I couldn’t even understand myself.

Getting posted to Bangalore DC was like my wish come true and it was a fantastic journey.

DbEntitlements (Deutsche Bank, Cary) was the first project I started with and it was, fortunately, the best project and people I have ever worked.

Thanks to all my colleagues and managers for helping us to understand process – Roshan (Best TL), Shipra (my teammate cum best friend), Viplove, Sreedevi and Aarti Jayaraman (my Manager), Apurva (spent little time with you girl, but bonded immediately) and Govind & Divya Vishwakarma (cubicle buddy)

Not to forget my lunch buddies – Rajesh, Katakam, Himanshu, Harindra, Purva, Rashmi, and Snehlata.

2.5 years later, coming to Pune DC was also a memorable experience.

Thanks to my Pune friends – Katto, Amar, Ekta, Abhijit, Sunita and Rishal – with whom I explored the Pune DC and its facilities πŸ˜€ and also spent a great deal of time gossiping in their cubicles. πŸ˜›

Also, my lunch mates here – Ravi, Ratna, Pankaj, Smriti, and Shweta – Had a great time with you all. πŸ™‚

My College friends – Saroja and Priya, whom I use to meet occasionally, mostly near the bus bay. πŸ˜‰

My project team here was very caring and I really cannot forget the way people have supported and motivated me all the time.

Best Management Staff – Archana Kolte (HR) & Ritika Chaturvedi (HR), Deepa (Delivery Manager), Dhiraj Bhise (GPM), Ajaykumar Malvi (GPM) and Rahul Chitale (PM) – Really helpful and understanding people.

Special thanks:

Lalitha Nair (Best SPM ever) – for standing with me unwaveringly – you actually showed what it feels like to be supported! πŸ™‚
You are the best person in the whole team, I will always cherish your teachings, your love, and even your scoldings.

Vidhi Mehta – you really are a motherly figure – I have never seen a person so caring towards everyone. I was a broken version at first before you built me up again. πŸ™‚ Awesome mentor and a wonderful person!

Aditya Verma (the next QA) – The only person who actually understood my struggle and experienced it with me. Thank you dude, and keep up the good work! πŸ™‚

Neha Jain – my bestie of Pune – You are a hardworking and pure hearted person. Stay the same! πŸ™‚

Sujata & Sneha – Spending time with some people really feels good, thank you for being my hearing ear, and sorry for bugging you so much! πŸ™‚

Monica Sunil Shah– Not able to believe that I just met you, it was so casual and friendly interacting with you. πŸ™‚

Pratul Agrawal – No words for you dude, but I know I have made a lifelong friend. (will miss our catfight) πŸ˜€

Thanks to my colleagues and friends – Varun (The Dev Guy), Mohsin, Anuraj, Shikha, Shloka, Alankruta (my cute friend), Purnima (silent beauty), (Rutwij, Harshada, Sanchita – friends I easily connected with, and who are just 1 call/msg away), Hitesh (Marker Chor πŸ˜‰ ), Surya, Mayur, Hitesh Bari, Girish, Pranit, Tarannum, Dhawal, Rakesh, Sudhakar, Sukesh, Arpit, Mousmi, Neha Soni – Daily standup meetings would have been boring without you guys – cheers to our birthday celebration, team parties, potluck, occasional lunch/tea breaks, and many other FunX events.

And of course, I cannot miss my Clients – with whom I bonded so well and had such an awesome time working with all…

I couldn’t express my gratitude, bcoz I never got a chance to send the drafted mail from my DB machine. πŸ˜›

Thanks to all my onsite colleagues for being so helpful and energetic – Reda, Rabya, Alexander and the development guys Sergey, Maxim Minin, Ilya, Bakai – had fun working with you all.

Special mentions:

Priya Addepalli – Awesome experience working with you, thank you for believing in me! πŸ™‚

Vishal Ohri – Thanks for your help and support in times of need, and also being reachable whenever required! πŸ™‚

Sandeep Chunduri – an enthusiastic and cheerful person – The ‘Dev Vampire’ as I always say! πŸ˜‰

Divya Bhandari – Another QA member, whom I shared my feelings and glad they are still not revealed πŸ˜€

And the one and only QA Star – Sirisha Eligeti, without whom QA doesn’t exist –

It is said that β€œWork never feels like work if we have the perfect tuning with our lead”; – which was True, only bcoz of you Sirisha!

Thanks for being the β€˜Best mentor & a truly inspiring person’ – in spite of our disagreements in the end, I feel you are an amazing person and still respect you a lot! πŸ™‚

Last but not the least, Teammates from my latest project β€œTradeFinance – SWIFT Migration”, who are more precisely my friends – Bijal, Priyanka, Shailesh – spent some good moments with you guys.

My new cubicle friends – Deeksha, Aakansha, and Harsh – thank you, guys.

And Ariha – the girl who stole my cubicle πŸ˜€ you are a sweet girl, stay the same.

Surviving without each and every one of you in different phases of my Infy journey would have been simply impossible.

I wish each and every one of you β€˜ALL THE VERY BEST’ for your future endeavors.

Needless to say, stay in touch. Sorry if I missed any names here.

Also, apologies if I hurt anyone’s feelings, never meant to.

This is not a Goodbye, only see you later!

Hey Ruchita,

I must be the last person to reply you back but I wanted to read your email with little peace of mind which was not happening on Friday.

This is the best Adieu email I would have ever think of. As I always mention your chat and talking to you always gets a smile on my face and people here are even jealous that I talk to you very closely not to any other team member.

In all the Infosys team I have worked with from Offshore I really enjoyed working with Roshan and you. We got a strong bond personally and professionally where our thoughts and opinions matched even during our disagreement.

In our journey working together, I got to learn things from you how to understand other person feelings though they do not explicitly mention what they want. I know your exit from the dbE project went on a rough path but trust me it was not my decision but I assume what happened was good, these days we even have more pressure πŸ™‚ So you are lucky in that way.

Not sure if I am a QA star but your email really made me star in the team. Thank you very much for the sweet sentences about me. And I admit that I am not very expressive which makes others feel that I don’t care about them. I never chat with anyone with lot of emojis in the chats but after chatting with you and the way you express things is really awesome.

And have to mention this – Thank you for all the good support you have given to me during release times and while I was on vacation. I know it is very hard for a girl to spend very late traveling and spending late hours and only person in the team to take all the workload. I wanted you to be the SME from offshore and wanted you to be strong in the application, our conversations might have gone aggressive at times but I don’t want to blame anyone in this. It’s all the lesson I learnt throughout the way how each person reacts in the team. And I even have more aggressive calls with Reda where he never wants to accept what is correct but just does what he wants to do. Life has got a lot more challenges these days.

I know you get disturbed and stop talking to people specially me πŸ™‚ then you calm down but think it all helps to understand the situations as you grow in your career. You are a very energetic and bubbly person who can understand the things with little guidance which made me attract to you in the team than anyone else. Focus on the things and you will achieve all the good fruit in your career.

The video you sent to me on my birthday made me speechless. Frankly, I admit I would have not done that after having a difference in opinions. That is what makes β€˜YOU’ as Ruchita. Keep up that behavior and attitude in yours. And even when you are angry with me I still look at all your Profile pics don’t ever forget that someone still watches you so better u pose well in the pics with a smile.

Oh my god, I am writing a lengthy email to someone after 10 years. I used to write to my husband before marriage and he used to reply in 1 sentence to that email. Now I understand what that expression means in life. Life has become so mechanic that I forget how I used to feel when someone just replies a single line. Now I think I am doing the same thing with you. Time to change. I would really love to meet you in person not sure when that will happen.

All the very Best in whatever option you pursue in life. It’s 12.48 AM now I will go to bed I have a presentation to be made for automation for Joerg which is making me sleepless these days. And a big release to sign off.

Take care and good Luck dear!!

-Sirisha.
